Back over the summer we decided to take a trip to Hawaii for a much desired vacation and to visit with my step sister, Carrie and her husband, Dave.
After receiving the call that we have a new son on Thanksgiving day, we left two days later for our trip. Talk about timing?!?!!? It was the longest week of our lives waiting to unite with our new addition and I am glad we spent it in HAWAII!
Thank Carrie and Dave for letting us stay with you, eat your food, cook for us, show us around and so much more!! We had a great time and it was so good to see you and spend time with you!

HAWAII!!!!!
The day we arrived, we were very tired. Carrie and Dave were trying to keep us awake so we drove to the North Shore to see a preview of what was to come during our trip. We got there in time for sunset and got to see some sea turtle!

thanksgiving....
I did not realized just how behind I am on updating the blog. Life has been a little crazy since the little new one has come along.
Thanksgiving '09 is a day we will never forget. It was the day we recieved the call about Cooper. Needless to say, thanksgiving dinner did not taste the same with a nervous and excited stomach!

Commissioning our friends to serve....
Our friends, the Shirley's (Rhett, Megan, Claire, Ford, and Gus), are leaving in a few days to serve as missionaries in Kenya! We are so excited for their family. We were honored to be a part of their commissioning service this morning. You can read more about their story here and follow their journey. They are an amazing family and will be greatly missed! We will continue to pray for them and look forward to hopefully visiting you half way around the world!
